Hammond recalled by Colorado

Goaltender Andrew Hammond has been recalled by the Colorado Avalanche.

Hammond was traded to Colorado on Nov. 5 as part of Ottawa’s acquisition of Matt Duchene. However, Hammond stayed with the Senators ‘on loan’ from the Avalanche.

With Belleville, Hammond has posted a 5-2-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

In 55 NHL games, all with Ottawa, Hammond is 27-14-6 with a 2.32 GAA and .923 save percentage.
