Jaros assigned to Belleville

Defenceman Christian Jaros has been assigned to Belleville by the Ottawa Senators.

The Slovakian native received his first career NHL call-up and made his debut on Oct. 10 against the Vancouver Canucks. Jaros, 21, played in two NHL games without registering a point.

In two games in Belleville, Jaros has recorded an assist.

In a second roster move, the Belleville Senators reassigned goaltender Marcus Hogberg to the ECHL’s Brampton Beast. Hogberg had yet to appear in a game this season for Belleville but went 0-3 last year in Binghamton after joining the club late in the season after an outstanding year with Linkopings in the Swedish Elite League.
