Senators release Doornbosch from PTO



The Belleville Senators have released defenceman Jamie Doornbosch from his professional tryout agreement.

Doornbosch was playing on his second PTO with the team and has played in one game with Belleville this season.

The 27-year-old has spent the majority of the season in the ECHL where he has played 17 games with Wichita, registering a goal and eight points, as well as two games with Brampton where he has two assists. He also played two AHL games with Bakersfield scoring an assist.

The Richmond Hill native does have NHL experience having played in one game for the New York Islanders during the 2010-11 season.
