Sens sign Vaive to PTO

The Belleville Senators have signed forward Justin Vaive to a professional tryout agreement.

The Buffalo native has played two games in the ECHL this season for the Cincinnati Cyclones where he’s registered one goal.

In 274 career AHL games, the 28-year-old has tallied 31 goals and 67 points while playing for the San Antonio Rampage, Hartford Wolf Pack, Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the Rochester Americans.

He has also played in 62 career ECHL games scoring 41 points (19 goals). Vaive helped Miami University (Ohio), where he played four seasons, win the 2010-11 CCHA Championship and secure a berth in the NCAA Tournament that year.

A former fourth round pick of the Anaheim Ducks in 2007, Vaive has yet to play in the NHL.
