Vaive released from professional tryout

The Belleville Senators have released forward Justin Vaive from his professional contract.

The 28-year-old played in six games for the Sens without recording a point. He had two penalty minutes.

Vaive will return to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL where he had a goal in two games at the start of the season.

In a separate transaction, the Ottawa also reassigned goaltender Marcus Hogberg back to the ECHL’s Brampton Beast from Belleville. Hogberg is 3-4-1 in eight games with the Beast this year while holding a 3.46 GAA and a .913 save percentage.
