Harpur reassigned to Belleville

Defenceman Ben Harpur has been reassigned to the Belleville Senators by Ottawa.

The 22-year-old was named to Belleville’s inaugural opening night roster but due to an injury in Ottawa, he was recalled before ever playing a game.

The Hamilton, Ont., native played in one game for Ottawa before being injured himself.

Harpur has played in 110 career AHL games registering four goals and 29 points. He’s also appeared in 12 NHL games with Ottawa adding an assist. He also played in nine playoff games as Ottawa reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season, netting two assists.
