The Belleville Senators have signed defenceman Miles Gendron to an American Hockey League contract for the 2019-20 season.

Simultaneously, the ECHL’s Brampton Beast have signed the 22-year-old to an ECHL contract for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

Gendron is coming off of a four-year career with the University of Connecticut where he played 126 games tallying 10 goals and 33 points. He served as the Huskies’ captain this past season where he appeared in 30 games adding seven points (three goals).

The Shrewsbury, MA., native was a third round pick of Ottawa in the 2014 NHL Draft. He won the 2014-15 BCHL championship when he was a member of the Penticton Bees before heading to the NCAA.
