Weekly Recap: Belleville Sens continue push for the Calder Cup playoffs

After collecting three of a possible four points last week, the Belleville Senators remain entrenched in the North Division playoff picture as they prepare for the final week of the regular season, which features a pivotal three-game road trip beginning on Friday night in Rochester before a weekend set against the Toronto Marlies at Coca-Cola Coliseum.

LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:

Wednesday, April 5: Belleville 0 vs Cleveland 1 (SO)

Mark Sinclair turned aside 41 shots to earn a shutout in his AHL debut as he helped the Belleville Senators to earn a crucial point in a 1-0 shootout loss to the Cleveland Monsters.

 

Saturday, April 8: Belleville 3 vs Cleveland 1 

The Senators completed their season series against the Monsters with a 3-1 win during their annual Fan Appreciation game as Jake Lucchini, Jacob Larsson, and Cole Cassels all found the back of the net on the night while Leevi Meriläinen made 21 saves in the win.
