Jeremy Davies Year in Review Share this Exit Interviews 2024-25: #4 Jeremy Davies May 8, 2025 With the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs well underway and the Belleville Senators wading into the offseason, David Foot sat down with the players to reflect on a year filled with challenges, growth, and standout moments. In this exclusive series of year-in-review interviews, players open up about their personal journeys, team milestones, and what it meant to represent Belleville and the Bay of Quinte this season. From locker room highlights to on-ice battles, these conversations offer a behind-the-scenes look at the season that was — and a glimpse at what’s ahead. Today, we check in with defenseman Jeremy Davies, who led the Belleville Sens in offence from the back-end and made his first career American Hockey League All-Star Classic appearance in 2024-25. DF: How did you feel about your first year in Belleville? JD: I loved it. I thought we had a really good group of guys here in Belleville this year, a great coaching staff, and the boys battled until the end. There’s a lot to take out of this year, and it was a lot of fun. DF: You’ve got some experience with the North Division after playing a couple of seasons in Rochester, but how was it coming up to play in Canada and getting a different perspective on the division? JD: It was pretty much the same. You get to go on those same road trips in those same, familiar rinks, so I was pretty comfortable playing in a lot of those games this year. I love this division; it’s a lot of fun, and it’s obviously super competitive, as we saw this year. DF: I know it was disappointing not to make the playoffs this year, but as a member of the leadership group here, how proud are you of the team’s effort all season, and handling of numerous challenges this year? JD: I’m really proud. I think if you look at our team, a lot of individuals got better as the season went along, and we battled until the end. It’s good to see a lot of those young guys take a step forward, and I think they’re going to be that much better next season. DF: I did want to ask about some of those younger players, especially with Djibril Toure and Jorian Donovan, who played with you on the back end. How did you feel those rookies handled the spotlight, and what tips or tricks are you able to pass along to young players like that? JD: I think they both went through a lot of learning early in the season, but as we saw in the last month or two, both of their games really took a step forward. They were able to play full-time roles with us and really contribute. What I harp on with them is just simplifying their game and making it easier. Because when you start trying to do different things out there, you can really complicate things and spend a lot more time in your defensive zone than you want to. DF: What does your summer look like? We know everyone’s training, some guys are golfing, how will you spend your time? JD: I’ll take it easy for the next month, maybe get to a couple of weddings here and there, and a little travel with my wife. We’ll take it easy and then start ramping up for July and August. 2025-26 Belleville Sens Season Seat Memberships are on sale now by contacting the Belleville Sens office at 613-967-8067, emailing tickets@bellevillesens.com, or visiting the Belleville Sens website. — Visit the Belleville Sens website: www.bellevillesens.com Engage with the Belleville Sens on Twitter: @BellevilleSens Like the Belleville Sens on Facebook: www.facebook.com/BellevilleSens Follow the Belleville Sens on Instagram: @BellevilleSens Listen to the Belleville Sens on Mixlr: www.bellevillesens.mixlr.com
