game day Share this Game Day Build-Up: Belleville Sens look for sweet end to homestand against top-ranked Hershey Bears January 21, 2023 Presented by Carpenters Union Local 397 Jan.21/23 vs Hershey Bears (NHL Affiliate: Washington Capitals) The Set-Up: The Belleville Sens will finish up what’s been a tough six-game homestand tonight, as they welcome the top-ranked team in the AHL, the Hershey Bears. The Sens are coming off a pair of hard-fought losses to the rival Toronto Marlies, including a 4-3 defeat last night, and will look to salvage a couple of points, before hitting the road next week. The Bears, meanwhile, have earned at least a point in five straight games and 12 of their last 15 and arrived in Belleville early this morning after losing 3-2 in overtime in Laval last night. Previous History: This is just the ninth-ever meeting between the Belleville Sens and Hershey Bears, with Belleville holding a 3-4-0-1 record. The Senators are 1-3-0-0 lifetime against Hershey at CAA Arena and split the 2021-22 season series 1-1-0-1. Roster Notes: Troy Mann will shuffle his lines a bit tonight but will only make one change. Brennan Saulnier will draw back in for Jayce Hawryluk, after being a healthy scratch last night. Hawryluk blocked a shot midway through the game and was sent for X-Rays this morning. He’s not officially on the injured list but is out for further evaluation. Kevin Mandolese will start on back-to-back nights, after stopping 27 of 31 shots yesterday. He’ll be backed up again by Alex Horawski. Injury Report: # Name Pos.
