Season Seat Member Spotlight: Chris Gane

Since their inauguration into the American Hockey League in 2017, the Belleville Senators have prided themselves on the sense of community they have brought local hockey fans. For loyal and dedicated season seat member Chris Gane this is no different, as he has come to appreciate all the offerings the organization has brought to the Bay of Quinte Region.

In our latest Season Seat Member Spotlight, Chris took some time to share his thoughts on his experiences with the franchise:

What do the Belleville Senators mean to you?

It means community. I see people coming together from all walks of life across our city to cheer on our local team. I’ve seen people of all ages enjoying the game, from young kids cheering to grandparents. I have seen people propose to their future wives on the screen. The Timbits hockey players give it their all during their couple minutes of intermission ice time and put on a show, as well as the proud parents watching them. The student choirs belted out our national anthem before the game. You also see how the team is involved in the community through donating time and the 50/50 draw that raises money.

What has been your favourite experience as Belleville Senators Season Ticket member?

I have been a member since the first game! I can still remember the excitement of having hockey back in Belleville. It was November 1st, 2017, against the Syracuse Crunch. It was a rough one, but the fans were into it. The arena was rocking that night.

The people I’ve met have been great. I have our own cheering section with some other season ticket holders. Fantastic hockey to watch live as well. Also, there have been lots of different great experiences being a season ticket holder. So many events being held at the arena during game nights. Promotions, giveaways, and bus trips to see the Sens play the Marlies. AHLTV access. Free tickets to see an Ottawa Senators game and discount tickets for select games. Plus, I get to see every game and follow the team!

What advice would you give to someone considering purchasing season tickets?

I know a lot of people say it’s a big commitment to be a season ticket holder but honestly, they have flex packages. So, if you’re not a hundred percent sure, try starting with one of these packages, and you’ll want to be at all the games the next year. Especially if you come and cheer with us in section 114!  GO SENS GO!
