Year in Review Share this Belleville Sens 2022 Year in Review January 1, 2023 The last calendar year has certainly been one to remember for the Belleville Senators. The organization continues to make significant strides with their community initiatives after contributing over $170,000 in support back to the Bay of Quinte Region, over the course of last season. All while reaching important hockey milestones along the way, none more prominent in 2022 than reaching the Calder Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Although the club has seen success, the Senators have also faced a degree of adversity, especially with key injuries throughout the organization. Team excuatives have worked hard to augment their roster several times, making over 150 transactions since last January. Despite the constant roster movement, Head Coach Troy Mann and his staff were able to lead the club to a winning record over that span. This has also allowed opportunities for several mainstays to make significant impacts and find prominent roles at the American Hockey League level. In spite of some challenges to the start of the 2022-23 campaign, the AHL Senators continue to work towards a Calder Cup playoff berth as they develop high-end prospects for the parent club.
