ALL-STAR CLASSIC Egor Sokolov Share this Egor Sokolov to represent Belleville Sens 2023 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Bell January 11, 2023 The American Hockey League and the Belleville Senators are excited to announce that forward Egor Sokolov will represent the Sens at the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Bell, in association with Manulife Bank. The event will be held on Sunday February 4, 2023 and Monday February 5, 2023 and will be hosted by the Laval Rocket at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec. This is the first All-Star selection for the 22-year-old from Yekaterinburg, Russia, who is playing in his third professional season. Sokolov has registered 35 points (11 goals, 24 assists) in 34 games with Belleville so far this season, and currently leads the team in points (35), assists (24) and power play points (19). Sokolov has 110 career points (45 goals, 65 assists) over 133 career AHL games and is the Senators franchise leader in goals scored (45) and power play goals (14), and is second on the franchise record list for points (110) and assists (65). His career highlights include a silver medal at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship in 2020 with team Russia and a selection to the AHL’s Canadian Division All-Star Team in 2020-21. Sokolov made his National Hockey League debut with the Ottawa Senators on November 9, 2021, against the Boston Bruins and he’s played in a total of eight NHL games over his career. Sokolov becomes the sixth Belleville Sens player to represent the club at the AHL All-Star Classic, following Gabriel Gagne (2018), Drake Batherson (2019), Christian Wolanin (2019), Rudolfs Balcers (2020), and Alex Formenton (2020).
