Belleville is coming off a week of mixed results, which included a convincing 7-3 win over the Amerks at home last Wednesday, followed by a pair of weekend losses against Toronto. Rochester rebounded nicely after their loss in Belleville by sweeping a two-game series with the Rocket in Laval, by scores of 4-3 and 6-5 (OT). Previous History: As mentioned above, the Senators and Americans last met on Wednesday October 27, at CAA Arena, where the Sens picked up a 7-3 win. Egor Sokolov paced Belleville’s attack that night with four points (two goals, two assists), while Jacob Bernard-Docker scored the first two goals of his professional career. Colby Williams, Jake Lucchini and Andrew Aggozino also scored and Kevin Mandolese stopped 30 of 33 shots to earn the win. Lukas Craggs, Michael Mersch and Mason Jobst all scored that night for Rochester and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen took the loss in goal. Lifetime, the Senators are 10-7-2-0 against the Amerks, with a 6-3-0-0 record in Rochester. Roster Notes: Belleville still has a total of eight players on the injured list, if you include Angus Crookshank, who isn’t expected to play this season. The Sens injured defencemen include Jonathan Aspirot, Colby Williams, and Lassi Thomson, while up front, Tyrell Goulbourne, Philippe Daoust and Mitchell Hoelscher are all hurt. Mads Sogaard will return after not playing the past five games and will start in goal tonight, while Roby Jarventie is also back from a nagging minor wrist injury. Gritty forward Scott Sabourin was also assigned to Belleville, after clearing waivers from Ottawa and is expected to be in the lineup tonight. Who to Watch: Senators forward Mark Kastelic scored his first goal of the season on Saturday in Toronto and will to try to find his groove in the AHL , after putting up 235 points in 321 career junior games with the Calgary Hitmen, between 2015 and 2020. For Rochester Jack Quinn, an Ottawa native and former Ottawa 67, was named the American Hockey League’s Rookie of the Month. He notched notching 10 points (five goals, five assists) over the Amerks first six games, going pointless in just one of those contests.
