The Set-Up:

The Belleville Sens began a busy four-game long weekend with a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Marlies at home on Friday night and they’ll try to ride that momentum into a repeat performance today. The Senators and Marlies meet again at Coca-Cola Coliseum this afternoon, for the ninth-of-12 meetings this season. Egor Sokolov had two goals for Belleville on Friday night, with Mark Kastelic and Matt Wedman also scoring, and Mads Sogaard making 27 saves for his 11th win of the season. Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Joseph Duszak and Joey Anderson all scored for Toronto, while Michael Hutchinson took the loss in net, making 29 saves.

Previous History:

With their Friday night win, the Senators improved their lifetime record against Toronto to 24-22-2-2, earning their first win over the Marlies at CAA Arena this season and upping their home record in the Battle of Ontario to 10-14-0-1. Belleville has a stronger 14-8-2-1 lifetime road record at Coca-Cola Coliseum, and the Sens are 1-3-0-0 in Toronto this season.

Who to Watch:

Egor Sokolov scored twice liast night and has taken over the Belleville Sens goal scoring race (13). He continues to lead the team in points (29). Captain Logan Shaw extended his point streak to five games (two goals, three assists) last night, while Lassi Thomson and Zac Leslie bring matching four-game point streaks (one goal, four assists) into this afternoon’s contest.

Marlies forward Bobby McMann didn’t find the scoresheet last night but has four points in his last five games. Blueliner Joseph Duszak is on a four-game point streak, while fellow defender Mac Hollowell, who didn’t play last night, is on a three-game point streak (one goal, two assists) should he dress today. Joey Anderson also has at least a point in each of his last three games (two goals and two assists), with three shots on goal on Friday night.
