The Set-Up:

The Belleville Senators four-game Family Day long weekend wraps up tonight at CAA Arena, as they try to avenge a 6-2 loss to the Syracuse Crunch. Gabriel Dumont had a hat trick for Syracuse on Monday afternoon, while Cole Koepke added a pair of goals, and Darren Raddysh notched a single. Zac Leslie and Andrew Agozzino each had a goal and an assist for the Senators, who were stymied by a relentless and physical Crunch forecheck. The Senators busy stretch continues after tonight, as they head to Laval for a double dip with the Rocket on Friday and Saturday.

Previous History:

Tonight’s game is the sixth-of-eight meetings between Belleville and Syracuse this season. Following Monday’s win, Belleville’s record in the season series is 2-3-0-0, with a 1-2-0-0 mark at CAA Arena. The Senators lifetime record against the Crunch is 9-12-1-1 and 7-5-0-0 in Belleville.

Roster Notes:

The B-Sens have had to make a goaltending shuffle following Monday’s loss, after Filip Gustavsson was recalled to Ottawa on Tuesday morning. Kevin Mandolese is expected to start tonight. Full lineup information will be released prior to puck drop.

Who to Watch:

While Captain Logan Shaw’s six-game point streak was snapped last night, both Andrew Agozzino and defender Zac Leslie are finding some consistency, as they each have points in back-to-back games. The pair each had a goal and an assist last night as well. Jake Lucchini also has points in back-to-back games, after notching an assist last ngiht.

Crunch Captain Gabriel Dumont had a hat trick on Friday, is riding a three-game point streak (five goals, two assists) and has 10 points (eight goals, two assists) in his last seven games played. Former Belleville Bull Remi Eli (two goals, three assists) and new Crunch acquisition Anthony Richard (four assists) arealso on three-game point streaks, as is defender Darren Raddysh (two goals, three assists).

Capacity at CAA Arena for today’s game is limited to 50% (or 2,200 fans), due to the Ontario Government guidelines aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19, but tickets are available via Ticketmaster or the CAA Arena Box Office (open today 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.).
