Season Seat Member Spotlight: Chris Jeffrey

August 14, 2023

In our latest Season Seat Member Spotlight, Chris Jeffrey reflected on the significant impact that the Belleville Senators organization has on the Bay of Quinte Region through their recognizable community relations and initiatives.

He is incredibly grateful for the importance the franchise and American Hockey League continually place on raising awareness for Hockey Fights Cancer, a cause that is near to his family. Chris even participated in a ceremonial face-off in support of the event, a major highlight of his tenure as a season seat member.

He also thoroughly enjoys the family-friendly atmosphere at CAA Arena and the memories he has created with friends while taking in the action from Section 105. These outstanding seats overlook the visitors’ blueline, providing an excellent vintage point to watch the Belleville Senators in the offensive zone.

In addition to the excellent hockey that is routinely on display, Chris appreciates the experience, benefits, and professionalism the franchise brings to the forefront.

What has been your favourite experience as Belleville Senators Season Ticket member?

I really like the locker room tours and open practices. It gives me a better perspective of the behind-the-scenes training involved. My most memorable experience is the Hockey Fights Cancer game. My wife passed from cancer in 2015, and I was very honoured to drop the puck at the 2020 game. As it was a Covid year, I was required to wear a mask. But be assured, the smile on my face was huge.

What do the Belleville Senators mean to you?

The Senators bring a good brand of hockey to our community. With that and all the fundraising, they make me proud to support this organization.

I’ve had season tickets since the first season. However, that first season was only half. I followed the Senators while in Florida, and upon returning I purchased the second half. I’ve never looked back. In the first three seasons, I only had one seat but then purchased aa second seat for my friends and family to attend.

What advice would you give to someone considering purchasing season tickets?

I would tell anyone considering purchasing season tickets how fast and exciting the AHL is. It’s a great night out and has a great atmosphere. Also, if they’re worried about not seeing some of the same players every game, they can turn their TV on and watch them in the NHL.
