Senators sign goaltender Logan Flodell to a one-year, two-way AHL contract

July 20, 2022

The Belleville Senators announced today that the team has signed goaltender Logan Flodell to a one-year, two-way American Hockey League contract.

Flodell, 25, appeared in three games with the Belleville Senators last season, making his AHL debut on March 13, 2022, against the Manitoba Moose. He also played in 19 ECHL contests with the South Carolina Stingrays and Reading Royals, over which he registered a 12-5-0-1 record with a 2.33 goals-against average, .918 save percentage, and one shutout.

“We feel Logan solidifies our goaltending depth,” said Belleville Sens General Manager Ryan Bowness. “His work ethic and familiarity with goaltending coach Justin Peters made him a natural fit.”

“We’re excited to have Logan back. He came in last year, provided solid depth for us, and made a really good impression on Justin Peters,” said Belleville Sens Head Coach Troy Mann. We’re looking forward to seeing him build off that this coming season.”

Prior to turning professional, the native of Regina, Saskatchewan, spent four successful seasons at Acadia University, where he was named MVP of the Atlantic University Sport conference in 2020 and was also honoured as a second-team All-Canadian.
