Sinclair earns shutout in Belleville Sens debut

Mark Sinclair turned aside 41 shots to earn a shutout in his American Hockey League debut as he helped the Belleville Senators earn another crucial point in a 1-0 shootout loss to the Cleveland Monsters on Wednesday night at CAA Arena.

Following the contest, the Senators now sit just two points behind the Laval Rocket for the fifth and final Calder Cup playoff position in the North Division with four games left in the regular season. While Cleveland has now moved a single point ahead of Belleville with two games in hand.

After a scoreless regulation and overtime, Cleveland would secure their hard-fought victory in the shootout as Cole Sillinger notched the game-winner with a decisive shot.

The Senators return to action in their annual Fan Appreciation game when they host the Cleveland Monsters on Saturday evening, with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m from CAA Arena.
