What’s new at CAA Arena this season?

October 17, 2023

The Friendly City is buzzing as the Belleville Senators get set to return to home ice this weekend for the Home Opener presented by CAA. The team is excited to welcome fans back to CAA Arena and showcase all of the changes that have been made over the summer. With that in mind, here are some of the new things to expect when you visit the rink this season.

Aesthetic Improvements

One of the first things fans should notice upon entering CAA Arena are some aesthetic updates to the building, including new team signage and logos, updated advertising, and new directional signage throughout the rink. Additionally, fans will want to head to the north end of the building to check out some new informational graphics showcasing the history of hockey in Belleville, some notable Belleville Sens alumni, submissions from our Sens In School colouring books and more.

Food and Beverage

There’s lots to look forward to this season from our food and beverage providers with Oak View Group. Fans can expect new food and beverage offerings like soft serve ice cream and mini donuts at the Candy Cart, chicken parmesan sandwiches at the Cannifton Carvery, or new craft Molson beer options at in the Craft Corner in the north end. Oak View Group is also introducing new souvenir options this season, with updated popcorn buckets, goalie helmet bowls and hockey stick beverage containers (please note that fans can no longer refill souvenir popcorn buckets from previous seasons). Another big change comes from the team’s new partnership with Pepsi, meaning fans can find their favourite Pepsi beverages around the rink.

New Merchandise

The Locker Room Store and CAA Arena merchandise stand are stocked with lots of brand new gear for you to show your team colours. Find new hoodies, t-shirts, hats and more, featuring designs from Violent Gentlemen, Line Change Co’ and more, with new styles for men, women and kids! Winning Wednesdays

Over six Wednesday night home games this season, the Sens will be giving away various prizes, including pairs of tickets to upcoming concerts or events at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, three-month training memberships to F45 in Belleville, merchandise gift cards and other prizes from Belleville Sens partners. Along with the prizing, fans are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of savings on food and drink including, $5 beer specials on domestic tall cans, $2 hot dogs and a two-for-$10 special on pizza slices. Those specials will run from when gates open at 6:00 p.m., to puck drop. Also on Wednesdays, fans will be able to get churros from the Candy Cart and tater tot skewers from the Front Street Grill.

Sunday Fundays

The Bee Hive and The Sandbox

Fans will notice a new rebrand of the CAA Arena “party boxes”, in partnership with Umbrel Beverage Co. Located on both the northeast and northwest corners of Level 2, The Beehive presented by Bee’s Knee’s and The Sandbox presented by Sandbagger are semi-private spaces that hold between six and eight people. Four complimentary alcoholic beverages are included.
