Cheering for Children returns for a second season, as Belleville Sens score in support of The Children’s Foundation

Every time the Belleville Senators light up the scoreboard this season, local children will be the real winners!  Cheering for Children returns for another exciting season, continuing a wonderful partnership with The Children’s Foundation, Belleville Senators and Peter Smith GM.

The Children’s Foundation is thrilled to announce a goal-scoring partnership with the Belleville Senators that turns every shot into an opportunity for local kids to thrive. Through the Cheering for Children initiative, local businesses pledge to donate to The Children’s Foundation for every goal scored by the B-Sens during regular season play.

“Every goal represents more than just points on the board,” said Ingrid Moore, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation. “It means that children and youth in our community will have access to social and physical opportunities, enriching experiences, and vital resources to explore, learn, play, and thrive. Together with the Senators and our local business partners, we’re helping every child reach their potential — one goal at a time.”

Moore added that they have a wonderful corporate sponsorship for this program, “Peter Smith has come on board in a big way for the Cheering for Children initiative and has donated $20,000 for this program.”

This exciting collaboration combines the energy of local hockey with the heart of community giving. Fans can cheer on their favourite team knowing that each goal fuels life-changing programs across Hastings, Northumberland, and Prince Edward Counties.

“The Belleville Senators are proud to once again partner with The Children’s Foundation on this fun and meaningful campaign,” said John Mathers, Vice President of Business Operations for the Belleville Senators. “Our players are motivated to make a difference both on and off the ice — and knowing that every goal helps local children adds even more excitement to every game.”
