Each of our 2026 Exit Interviews highlights a player’s season, some of their favourite moments off the ice, and their plans heading into the summer. In his second full pro season, defenceman Jorian Donovan made significant strides in his development, both on and off the ice. An everyday blueliner for Belleville, Donovan skated in 61 AHL games this season, collecting 21 points (four goals, 17 assists), along with 89 penalty minutes. Originally drafted by Ottawa in the 5th round in 2022, Donovan would make his National Hockey League debut this season as well, playing in two games for the NHL Sens in Detroit and at home at the Canadian Tire Centre. Off the ice, Donovan was a critical piece of the Belleville Sens’ community programming, attending dozens of school visits and other events, leading to his nomination as the club’s 2025-26 IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year.
