Belleville Sens announce fan-inspired changes for 2026-27 season

The Belleville Senators are continuing to put fans first heading into the club’s 10th season in the Bay of Quinte, with a new slate of initiatives based on an end-of-season fan survey. 

Feedback was gathered from more than 1,200 fans as part of an independent review of ticket-buying trends, conducted by sports business analysts Matt Jackowetz and Adam Mowrey, who received direct input on scheduling, pricing, the game-day experience, and what motivates them to attend games.  

“Listening to our fans isn’t something we do once a year—it’s part of how we operate,” said Belleville Sens Vice President of Business Operations John Mathers. “This report confirmed many of the things we’ve been hearing, and we’re excited to turn that feedback into action. Our fans told us what matters most, and this season you’ll begin to see those ideas reflected in everything from ticket options to promotions and game nights.” 

Some of the changes coming into effect this year include new entry-level pricing, more family-friendly ticket options, and more value throughout the season through giveaways and other in-game activations. Fans also said they’d like to see more Friday night home games, or earlier start times on Saturday, so the Sens will play 15 times on Friday nights at home, and have added six games on Saturday afternoons, with 4:00 p.m. puck drops. 

Fans also said they wanted to see the club’s connection around the Bay of Quinte grow further, through bigger theme nights, more community events, and more player engagement. With that in mind, plans are already in the works to improve and expand theme nights throughout the season, and to get more players out-and-about, interacting with fans, businesses, and community groups.
