Belleville Sens highlight new updates and experiences at CAA Arena ahead of Home Opener Weekend

October 18, 2024

The Belleville Senators return to home ice at CAA Arena tomorrow and, along with a handful of incoming players to get acquainted with, there will also be plenty of fresh and new experiences and features for fans to look forward to. Let’s look at what’s new in and around CAA Arena this season!

Great Value Ticket Options

Before you can experience what’s new, you’ve got to get your ticket to the game! In addition to the fantastic value offered through Season Seat Memberships, Flex Packs, group experiences, and the Family Four Pack starting at $100, the Belleville Sens have also put together some new packages for fans to take advantage of. Among them, the College Night Out offer starts at $60, the Matinee and Save offer starts at $50, and the Sens Student Pass starts at $21. You can click here for full details on all the Belleville Sens ticket offerings this season. The Sens have also added a new Anthem Performance Program for groups and choirs, to their slate of already popular group activations like the Benchwarmers, Play Like the Pros, Flag Kids and others.

New-Look Entrance

Once they arrive, the first thing fans will notice (if they haven’t visited the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre lately) are the new sliding glass doors at Gate 1 and Gate 2. Installed by the City of Belleville over the offseason, the new doors will allow for a better flow of foot traffic, while also making CAA Arena’s two main gates more accessible.

Lots to See

Fans will see updated signage and information around the rink this season, including in the North End of CAA Arena, which has been rebranded as the Pepsi Fan Zone! The club has also updated the American Hockey League team map, and the History of Hockey and B-Sens alumni displays, in the North End hallway. You’ll also see updates to the signage frames around the concourse with new player profiles, past rosters, and other information from the team and its partners and in the South End poster display, which now showcases the 2024-25 Belleville Sens Promotional Schedule. Fans taking advantage of premium seating in the Mezzanine will also notice new tables, as that area continues to receive upgrades.

Gear Up

Whether you’re shopping online before the game, at the Locker Room Store during the pregame Fan Fest, or merchandise stand inside CAA Arena, there is plenty of new Belleville Sens gear to get you outfitted for the season. The shop is stocked with dozens of new clothing and hat styles from brands like Zephyr, 47 Brand, Blue 84, Violent Gentlemen, Sticker Mule and more. Fans can also keep tabs on incoming products and sales through the new Locker Room Store Instagram feed. And don’t forget that Belleville Sens Season Seat Members get 20% off by showing their membership card, with that discount now applicable to jerseys as well!

Game Presentation Upgrades

With an investment into the team’s broadcast and camera equipment over the offseason, fans can catch new angles of the action through replays on the CAA Arena video board and AHLTV on FloHockey broadcast. Prince Edward County’s DJ K-Lav will also be spinning tunes at select games throughout the season, starting with the Home Opener presented by CAA on Saturday evening. Home Aire Care will be helping to bring the energy to the rink as well, sponsoring the Noise Metre for the 2024-25 campaign.

Tasty Treats from OVG

CAA Arena’s food and beverage provider, Oak View Group is excited to announce the return of fresh-to-order Pudgyboy Donuts at the Candy Cart, plus soft serve ice cream at the main concourse bar. Fans will also see a selection of new Mars candy products across the concession stands, and those seated in the McFarland’s Pub or Mezzanine premium sections will have access to a new customized menu. And, during October, all CAA Arena bars will feature a specialty drink (alcoholic, or non), with $1 from each sale supporting the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society. Belleville Sens Season Seat Members will also now receive a 15% discount on all products at the concession stands (except alcohol) by showing their membership card.

Hear the Game in Your Seat

Fans can now listen to broadcast coverage of Belleville Sens home games from their seats at CAA Arena! The B-Sens have installed a low-wattage FM transmitter inside the rink, meaning fans who bring a portable FM radio receiver can tune in to 88.1 FM and hear delay-free play-by-play and analysis during the game, along with features and interviews during intermissions. A limited number of FM receivers are available to be signed out at Guest Services inside Gate 2, but fans will need to bring their own headphones.

In-Game Fun on Your Phone

The Belleville Sens App will once again be loaded with activities and contests to keep you busy throughout the game. From the CAA Check-In-To-Win to the new Home Aire Care shuffle game, Belleville Sens trivia, and more. You’ll also get access to team news and updates, links to purchase and manage your tickets, and access to American Hockey League stats and stories. You can download the Belleville Sens App from the app store of your choice.

New Perks for CAA Members

As was announced earlier this week, the B-Sens and CAA are teaming up to provide some new benefits for CAA members at the rink. CAA Members will still receive 10% off merchandise at the Locker Room Store, the regular cookie benefits, and surprises and delights. But, this season, CAA Members can also now get exclusive access to discounted tickets, and faster entry via the CAA Member Express Line at Gate 3 by showing their membership card.

New Faces on the Ice

Fans will have some new faces to learn this season as well, with eight players joining the Sens organization from other teams this summer and three rookies who were drafted or signed by the Senators and are poised to play their first full professional seasons. Defenders #4 Jeremy Davies, #38 Wyatte Wylie, and #48 Filip Roos will all play for the home side at CAA Arena for the first time this season, as will forwards #13 Xavier Bourgault, #18 Jake Chiasson, #24 Jan Jenik, #27 Keean Washkurak, and #42 Hayden Hodgson. Rookie defencemen #11 Jorian Donovan, #29 Tomas Hamara, and first-year netminder #31 Michael Simpson will also be looking to make their mark this season.
