News Release WEEKLY RECAP Share this Details announced for Belleville Sens Inaugural Home Opener Celebration presented by Mackay Insurance October 20, 2026 It’ll be an exciting afternoon at CIBC Place as the Belleville Senators kick off November with their 10th-anniversary season Inaugural Home Opener Celebration presented by Mackay Insurance. Scheduled to take place on the same date as Belleville’s inaugural American Hockey League home game, which ended in a thrilling 4-3 shootout win over the Syracuse Crunch (AHL Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning) on November 1, 2017, the Inaugural Home Opener Celebration will see the Sens host the Toronto Marlies (AHL Affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The first 2,500 fans through the gates at CIBC Place will receive a free commemorative souvenir ticket to mark the occasion and add to their collection as an exclusive piece of Belleville Sens 10th anniversary memorabilia. Plus, the game marks the first time the Senators will wear their special-edition anniversary third jerseys, also made possible by Mackay Insurance, one of the hockey club’s largest supporters since day one. The Senators will also welcome back inaugural captain Mike Blunden for the ceremonial faceoff and share stories and memories from the club’s first game with longtime local broadcaster Jack Miller, former players, staff, and fans. The early 1:00 p.m. puck drop makes it easier for Sens fans of all ages to join the celebration, with gates opening at noon, and kids’ poster-making and balloon-animal stations inside Gate 1 before and during the game. “Our Inaugural Home Opener Celebration will be one of the marquee pieces of our 10th anniversary season,” said Belleville Sens Vice President of Business Operations John Mathers. “We can’t wait for fans to get their first look at our anniversary third jerseys and to relive that exciting night that officially brought the Senators Hockey to the Bay of Quinte.” Tickets for the Belleville Senators’ Inaugural Home Opener Celebration on Sunday, November 1, 2026, against the Toronto Marlies are now available on Ticketmaster.
