ECHL Affiliate Update: Allen down 3-0 against Kansas City in Mountain Division Finals

May 14, 2026

Coming off a first-round Kelly Cup Playoff win over the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL Affiliate of the Dallas Stars), the Allen Americans find themselves in a 3-0 hole in round two against the Kansas City Mavericks (ECHL Affiliate of the Seattle Kraken).

The Belleville and Ottawa Senators ECHL affiliate has been outscored 10-5 over the first three games of the best-of-seven Mountain Division Final, after two games on the road in Missouri and one back in Texas, so far. ECHL regular-season goals leader Danny Katic has one goal in the series, but has otherwise fallen off his torrid pace, finding the net just once so far in three games. He still sits fourth in points in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 11 (six goals, five assists). Defender Sam Sedley, who played a couple of games with Belleville on a professional tryout this past season, has a goal and an assist, while Riley Kidney has a helper as well. Jackson Parsons has played in all three games, stopping 83 of the 92 shots he’s faced.

Defender Djibril Toure and forwards Mark Duarte and Landen Hookey are also still battling with the Americans, but haven’t registered points yet in the second round series.
