Gabriel Pizza Gameday Build-Up: Sens return home to take on Wolf Pack

October 30, 2026

Friday, October 30, 2026, vs. Hartford Wolf Pack (NHL Affiliate: New York Rangers)

The Set-Up

The Senators return to home ice looking to put last weekend’s road trip behind them and get back on track as they welcome the Hartford Wolf Pack to CIBC Place. Belleville closed out the trip with a 2-0 loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, finishing the weekend with a 1-2-0 record. Despite the result, Kevin Reidler made his season debut on Sunday, turning aside 21 of 23 shots in the loss. The Senators now sit at 4-4-2-0 on the season with 10 points, tied for third place in the North Division. With Hartford coming to town, Belleville has an opportunity to reset in front of their home crowd against a Wolf Pack team that has dropped four of its last five games. Hartford may be looking to find their footing early in the season, but there is no shortage of young talent making an impact. Alongside veteran Glenn Gawdin (who leads with nine points), players such as Cole Beaudoin, Liam Greentree and goaltender Callum Tung have given the Wolf Pack some promising pieces to build around. Hartford has found success away from home, collecting three of their four wins on the road this season. Belleville will need to take advantage of home ice and establish their game early as these two Eastern Conference clubs begin a two-game season series. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m.

Previous History

The Senators split last season’s series with Hartford, finishing with a 1-1-0-0 record. The most recent meeting came on February 21st, 2026, when Belleville was shut out 4-0 on the road. Belleville holds a 9-5-1-0 all-time record against Hartford.

Roster Notes

There is at least one roster move to note heading into tonight’s game. Cam Crotty was placed on waivers by Ottawa earlier this week and subsequently claimed by the Minnesota Wild yesterday. This was Crotty’s second season with the organization, splitting his time between Belleville and Ottawa and appearing in 58 regular-season games combined. He spent the 2024-25 season with the Wild’s AHL affiliate in Iowa, as their captain. With Andre Burakovsky leaving last night’s Ottawa game at Los Angeles, and Hayden Hodgson potentially facing supplemental discipline for a big hit on Kings forward Brandt Clarke, there could be more moves on the way. Full roster and lineup details will be available closer to puck drop through the team’s social media channels (@BellevilleSens).

Who to Watch

For rookie forward Luke Ellinas, this season marks an important step in his development as he makes the jump from junior hockey to the professional ranks. The Etobicoke native signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Senators in May 2025, adding a young confident forward with solid instincts and work ethic. Ellinas arrived in Belleville following a memorable finish to his junior career with the Kitchener Rangers, where he helped capture both the OHL Championship and Memorial Cup in 2026. Now seven games into his professional career with his first AHL point already on the board, Ellinas will look to build on that early momentum and continue adjusting to the professional game.

A first-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, Liam Greentree is beginning to make his mark in his rookie AHL season. The 20-year-old forward has recorded five points (3G, 2A) through his first 11 games, with three of those points coming in his last four contests. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 216 pounds, Greentree brings a combination of size, offensive instincts and a willingness to get to the scoring areas. The Oshawa native is an intriguing young player to watch as he looks to continue making an impact with his hard-nosed, physical style of play.
