He is particularly pleased with the family-friendly environment at CAA Arena, which creates an inclusive and wholesome experience for everyone attending throughout the American Hockey League season. He adds that the exceptional community relations efforts the franchise continues to put forth, constitute a significant sense of pride as he supports the hockey club with his loyal fandom. Al is also certainly enthusiastic about watching the action from his excellent season seats on the mezzanine level and the exclusive benefits he receives. What has been your favourite experience as Belleville Senators Season Ticket member? We have been season ticket holders since the inception of the Belleville Senators in 2017. I had previously worked as the in-game physician for the Belleville Bulls. When the Senators came to fill that hockey void, we were excited to take advantage of the opportunity. Our daughter often comes to the games and plays hockey herself, so we appreciate when the Senators host “Women in Hockey” nights. Similarly, the Teddy Bear Toss is always a highlight. Our daughter has skated with some of the Senators, and it’s special to see her excitement over an autograph or a conversation with someone she normally only sees from the stands. Lastly, I have had the chance to play in the Senators’ golf tournament, which was a lot of fun as well. What do the Belleville Senators mean to you? Even though Belleville has a rich hockey tradition, having AHL-level hockey is a privilege for a city of this size. The Senators provide entertainment during what can otherwise be a long winter and coupled with school and community outreach events, provide youth with examples of the athletic achievements that can be reached through hard work and determination. Despite great OJHL hockey in Wellington (Dukes) and Trenton (Golden Hawks), there was a void when the Bulls left – the Senators have been successful in filling for that loss and bringing elite hockey back to Belleville. What advice would you give to someone considering purchasing season tickets? I would encourage anyone to become a season ticket holder. Some nights I have been disappointed with the attendance of the Belleville Senators, and I think we should support them as much as possible to keep elite hockey as part of our community.
