2026-27 season News Release Share this Sens summer coaching clinics continue with a visit from the Belleville Jr. Bulls September 4, 2026 The Belleville Senators Coaching Staff continued their series of summer coaching clinics this week, welcoming close to 20 coaches from the Belleville Minor Hockey Association Junior Bulls for a tour of the dressing room and a video skills session. Similar to the Belleville Bearcats Clinic a week or so ago, Head Coach Andrew Campbell ran coaches through their paces on good practice principles, while Assistant Coach Joe Cirella gave pointers on defence, and Assistant Coach Stefan Legein gave a presentation on offensive tips. And Goaltending Coach Paul Gibson ran over some basics that the coaches can take back to their young netminders to help them reach their potential throughout the season. BMHA U-14 ‘A’ Head Coach Sean Robinson spoke with the Belleville Sens Entertainment Network after the event and called it a perfect way to start the season off right. “We’re just starting our season, and it seems like a great opportunity to get some professional advice to help make the best of the season and give the kids the best chance to succeed this year,” said Robinson. “It was great to see the systems they have in place. The way they go through their video, the expertise of each individual coach specializing in individual positions, and how they approach it.” Robinson says as an amateur coach working with young players, he was impressed by the thoroughness of the information that was presented, and the attentiveness in the Belleville Sens staff as they passed along those messages. “As a minor hockey head coach, it’s really nice to see that many angles of the system at this level, to compare with what we’re running with our kids. And, I really appreciated how personal it was,” said Robinson. “It’s up close, and we can ask questions that are specific to where we’re at, and get some great answers.” He also praised the AHL club for the work it’s done in the community over the past nine seasons and in continuing to support local hockey from the pro level, right down to the grass roots minor organizations. “It’s special,” he said. “Especially having three young kids themselves and seeing the club support there minor hockey teams, plus opportunities like this. It’s definitely brought a lot to the community and it’s so unique to have hockey at this level, this close.” The Sens will continue their minor hockey programming throughout the season, by hosting local teams at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre on game days, and this season adding a handful of community practices, which will get players out to rinks across the Bay of Quinte Region to share their skills and knowledge.
