Season Seat Member Spotlight: Chris Masterson & Marny Lunny

In our latest Season Seat Member Spotlight, Chris Masterson and his wife Marny Lunny, took some time to share what they enjoy most about the Belleville Senators organization. 

Along with the thrilling experience of being able to watch American Hockey League action on a regular basis at an affordable price, both Chris and Marny say the franchise is much more than just a familiar source of entrainment throughout the course of the season.  

More importantly, they have been extremely pleased with the sense of community pride the team provides the Bay of Quinte Region. 

In addition to their ticket package and seats in section in Section 117L (which is situated on the goal line in the Belleville end of the rink on the glass) the couple certainly also appreciates the experiences and benefits the franchise has continued to bring to the forefront since their inauguration.

What has been your favourite experience as Belleville Senators Season Ticket member?  

Our favourite and perhaps the worst memory was the 2019-2020 season when the team was well on its way to the Calder Cup, and COVID ended the season. To watch the likes of Josh Norris, Drake Batherson, and Erik Brannstrom on a nightly basis was a thrill. That was some high-quality hockey. We also enjoyed access to a game in Ottawa to see the Senators.

Overall, we enjoy seeing players from the AHL when they make it to the NHL. It gives us a sense of connection to these guys we see on TV.

What do the Belleville Senators mean to you?  

We have been season ticket holders from day one of the franchise and enjoy having top-notch entertainment in Belleville. With a city of this size, finding things to do for a night out is hard, and the Belleville Senators fill that void nicely. 

The team means a lot to us. It gives us a sense of local pride, a source of high-quality entertainment, and allows us to see high-end professional hockey in an affordable way, enabling us to be remarkably close to the action. Where else could you see NHL calibre players right at the glass for roughly $30 per game?

What advice would you give to someone considering purchasing season tickets?  

I recommend all hockey fans enjoy the fast-paced stars of the future. You can’t beat the price to see some of the best hockey in the world right here in Belleville.
