Game Recap

Senators fall to Marlies on Friday night

October 30, 2021

Andrew Agozzino found the back of the net twice on Friday night, scoring in his third straight game but the Belleville Senators were defeated by the Toronto Marlies, 5-2 in the first edition of this season’s Battle of Ontario at CAA Arena.

The Marlies would break open a tightly contested 3-2 contest in the third period, by scoring twice in eleven seconds. Mac Hollowell, Josh Ho-Sang (2), Brennan Menell, and Joey Anderson scored for the visitors as Erik Källgren made 33 saves on the night.

Kevin Mandolese turned aside 30 shots, and Parker Kelly earned assists on both of the Senators’ tallies. Belleville’s penalty-kill continues to operate at a high level this season, killing six of seven opportunities against.

The Belleville Senators hit the road for five straight, starting tomorrow with a rematch in Toronto, but return home to host the Bridgeport Islanders for a 7:00 PM puck drop on Saturday, November 13th.

Single-game tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster by stopping by the CAA Arena Box Office. Season Ticket Memberships and Flex Packs are also available, with more information available at bellevillesens.com.
