Senators stopped by Cleveland on Saturday night

October 24, 2021

The Cleveland Monsters scored twice in the second frame to beat the Belleville Senators, 2-1 on Saturday night at CAA Arena.

Andrew Agozzino opened the scoring at 4:09 of the first frame on a breakaway.

Despite carrying the bulk of the play, still, it wasn’t to be for Belleville, who could not find an answer for Jet Greaves on the night as he turned aside 40 shots, earning his first career AHL win in his professional debut.

At the same time, Jake Christiansen and Tyler Sikura supported their rookie netminder scoring for the Monsters.

Kevin Mandolese was excellent on the home side of the ledger, making 24 saves. Defencemen Maxence Guenette and Zac Leslie made their Senators’ debuts.

The Senators continue their five-game homestand, hosting the Rochester Americans, Wednesday, October 27th, for a 7:00 PM puck drop at CAA Arena.

Single-game tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster by stopping by the CAA Arena Box Office. Season Ticket Memberships and Flex Packs are also available, with more information available at bellevillesens.com.
