TRENTON GOLDEN HAWKS
Friday, October 30, 2026: Wellington Dukes – 3 vs Markham Royals – 4

An outstanding effort against the number one team in the East Conference and one of the top Junior A teams in Canada came up a little short for the Trenton Golden Hawks on Friday night.

Mason Cruzet broke a three-all tie with 8:37 left in the third period to hand the Hawks their eighth straight defeat, 4-3 at ‘The Hangar.’

Trenton showed good fight after falling behind 2-0, with Beckett Ewart depositing his eighth of the season from Kaiden Harmon and Ben Radley at 10:29 and Evan Norris burying his sixth of the year from Charlie Gage and Niko Krmpotic at 18:09 of the first.

Trenton outshot Markham 20-11 in the opening frame and battled hard to go ahead in the second, but the Royals jumped ahead again on Aidan Hagshi’s tally with less than two-and-a-half minutes left in the period.

Ryan Chamberlain pulled the Hawks even again after Harmon jumped on a loose puck and left it off for him to drive home for his eighth of the campaign, setting up the deadlock that Cruzet busted out of with a

Trenton outshot Markham 43-32, with Eli Zucker making 28 stops in his Hawks debut after being acquired from the North American Hockey League this week.

Saturday, October 31, 2026: Trenton Golden Hawks – 3 @ Mississauga Chargers – 0

There were no Halloween scaries for the Trenton Golden Hawks at Port Credit Arena Saturday.

Ben Radley’s first goal as a Hawk and Eli Zucker’s 31-save shutout highlighted a 3-0 blanking of the Mississauga Chargers, snapping Trenton’s eight-game losing skid.

Neither team blinked in period one, with Mississauga edging Trenton in shots 9-8, before Radley got the Hawks on the board 3:50 into the second.

The Iroquois, Ont. product one-timed a Niko Krmpotic feed through traffic and past Owen Leonard, with Beckett Ewart adding the second assist.

Kaiden Harmon extended his point streak to three games with a powerplay goal from Radley and Ryan Chamberlain about halfway through the frame to give Trenton a little breathing space.

The team locked things down in the third and a Charlie Gage empty-netter from Nathan McHattie and Thomas Harnett helped to preserve Trenton’s first win since October 2 and Zucker’s first victory as a Golden Hawk.

Sunday, November 1, 2026: Trenton Golden Hawks – 4 @ Pickering Panthers – 1

The Trenton Golden Hawks are pointing in the right direction again.

The team won a three-in-three weekend by downing the Pickering Panthers 4-1 on Sunday night at Chestnut Hills Recreation Complex.

Trenton struck first with Peter Overzat’s first marker as a Golden Hawk, a sharp wrist shot that found the mesh behind a partially screened Daniel Giusti at the 8:36 spot of the opening frame and Trenton managed to carry that lead into the break.

The Hawks increased the score to 2-0 when Ethan Brassard muscled the puck out to Liam Fisher for a routine tap-in nearly seven minutes into the second, before Brassard took charge to wire home his eighth of the year on a powerplay.

Trenton continued frustrating the Panthers with solid defence and great goaltending from Eli Zucker to make the lead hold up.

Niko Krmpotic wasted little time in adding further insurance in the third with his fourth of the season on another man advantage to make it 4-0.

Blake Wright got one back for Pickering on its own powerplay, but that was all the hosts could manage in Trenton’s second straight victory.

The win was Zucker’s second straight, as he made 27 saves as part of a busy first weekend as a Hawk, and head coach Connor Armour’s first victory against the team he helmed to the East Conference Final last season.

Kaiden Harmon and Beckett Ewart added two assists each, while Mason Musclow, Wyatt Gregory, Brassard and Jax Martin contributed single helpers.

The Hawks sit at 6-10-2 on the season with 14 points as they head into a Friday night home contest with the Newmarket Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m.

WELLINGTON DUKES
Friday, October 30, 2026: Wellington Dukes – 2 vs Aurora Tigers – 4
Three second period goals did damage to the Wellington Dukes in a 4-2 loss to the Aurora Tigers on Friday night.

After a goalless first, Aurora got on the board courtesy of Tommy Nitsopoulos, who went upstairs off a perfectly feathered pass from Max Skinner.

Skinner then benefited from a hard stop right in front of the Aurora crease on Jayden Levesque, resulting in a tally for the OJHL’s rookie leader in goals at the other end.

Sebastian Catalano aced a shot along the ice through Dryden Riley for his first goal of the season in the later proceedings of the period to up the lead to 3-0.

Aurora continued their grip on the game with a 4-0 goal courtesy of Thomas Leone early in the third, but Wellington did offer a pushback.

Presley Kelly blasted a one-timer off a feed from Levesque at 9:35 on a powerplay for his fourth of the year to cut the deficit to three, before Justin Doak, who added the second assist on that marker, floated in a goal of his own, unassisted to increase the comeback threat.

Former Duke Colby Booth-Housego stood tall the rest of the night, finishing with 38 saves against his old team, while Riley made 24 saves, as the Tigers handed the Dukes their first regulation home loss of the season.

The Dukes will sit on this loss for a week until their next home affair next Friday, November 6 versus the St. Michael’s Buzzers at 7:30 p.m.
