Weekly Recap: Belleville Sens ready for busy weekend as playoff push continues

March 27, 2023

The Belleville Senators are looking to put a difficult weekend behind them, which featured losses to both the Bridgeport Islanders (New York Islanders) and Milwaukee Admirals (Nashville Predators).

This week, the Senators will resume their push towards a Calder Cup Playoff berth against the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay Lightning) on Friday night before taking on the Toronto Marlies (Toronto Maple Leafs) in a home-and-home series to conclude a busy three-in-three weekend.

Friday, March 24: Belleville 2 vs Bridgeport 5

Despite an early goal from Maxence Guenette and a shorthanded marker from Jake Lucchini, the Belleville Senators closed out their season series against the Bridgeport Islanders with a 5-2 loss.

Saturday, March 25 : Belleville 2 vs Milwaukee 3 (SO)

A stellar 35-save performance from Antoine Bibeau and tallies from Angus Crookshank and Jonathan Aspirot helped the Senators to earn a valuable point in a highly contested 3-2 shootout loss to the Milwaukee Admirals.
