Internship Program

Belleville Sens internship program providing first-hand experience to local students

January 31, 2023

Helping to support local education in the Bay of the Quinte region has always been a part of the Belleville Senators’ community ethic. The organization has helped to guide students through their internship opportunities with the franchise.

The latest success story is Braiden DeVries, a grade 12 student from Bayside Secondary who contributed by assisting on several projects with a focus on marketing while completing his course credit with the team. His Instructional Lead Teacher, Lisa Airhart, has also been pleased with his progress and the valuable experiences he gained.

“Co-op is an awesome opportunity to explore careers and local workplaces so that our students make informed decisions for their futures. We are thankful that our Bayside student, Braiden DeVries, is much better prepared for a future in marketing and his post-secondary program, thanks to the leadership and mentorship of the Belleville Senators Hockey Club. We are thrilled with his skill development and are confident about his contributions to the organization during his co-op placement.”

DeVries is now preparing to graduate high school this June and is investigating post-secondary opportunities in the areas of marketing and sports management. No doubt the experience he received with the Senators will serve him well no matter what feature career he chooses.

Internships with the organization are available for students with a passion for the sports industry that require a placement to complete their course or program.
