Community Share this Sens host first annual U8 Minor Hockey Jamboree February 2, 2026 The CAA Arena was buzzing with energy as we hosted our first ever U8 Minor Hockey Jamboree on February 1st from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Teams from Belleville, Stirling, Peterborough, Newcastle, Tweed, and Centre Hastings hit the ice for 15 fast-paced mini games, giving all 100 plus minor hockey kids plenty of chances to skate, score, and smile. The event drew more than 400 family members and friends who filled the stands, cheering on every shift and celebration. Off the ice, the morning crowd kept things rolling with over 50 breakfast burritos sold to fuel an action-packed day. From first puck drop to the final whistle, the jamboree was a true celebration of grassroots hockey and community spirit.
