We got on the right side of the puck and didn’t give up odd man rushes like we did in the first. The difference is crazy when you play the right way. We ended up getting a goal and it’s because we played on the right side of the puck. Belleville Sens Head Coach Dave Bell on the young players in his lineup tonight: “They had a lot of veterans in their lineup, like Alex Belzile, and if you run into those guys you’ll feel like you ran into a man. He runs faceoff plays and wins draws and those types of guys are heavy on the boards, so they got a first feel for it. The intensity went up a bit, it’ll go up again on Sunday, and it’ll go up again next Saturday night. So, it’s a progression and guys will start to weed themselves out if they can’t keep up.” Belleville Sens Head Coach Dave Bell on preparing for Sunday: “We got some guys back from Ottawa, so we’ll put some lines together and have a practice tomorrow morning. We’ll get some of those guys in the lineup Sunday, assess this game from tonight and decide who we want to have another look at, and then go at Toronto on Sunday afternoon. Media Availabilities: The Sens are back in action on Sunday, October 5th when they face the Toronto Marlies at 3 pm to wrap up the preseason. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 pm at CAA Arena. The game will be broadcast on AHLTV by FloHockey. $12 tickets are still available through Ticketmaster with $5 going toward the Belleville General Hospital Foundation.
