game day News Release Share this Gabriel Pizza Gameday Build-Up: Senators aim to tame Wolf Pack as busy weekend continues November 8, 2025 Saturday, November 8, 2025, vs Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL affiliate: New York Rangers) The set-up: The Belleville Senators won’t see much of their home ice this month, with just four of their 13 November games at CAA Arena. The first of those is tonight, as the Sens welcome the Hartford Wolf Pack to continue this three-in-three weekend, and look to find their offensive touch after being shut out in Utica on Friday night. The loss last night dips Belleville back below the .500 mark at 4-5-1-0 on the young season, but the 3-0 defeat was an anomaly given how the Sens have played of late. Even with the loss to the Comets, the Senators have still won four of their last six games, and have outscored opponents 22-19 over that stretch. Hartford, meanwhile, is looking to halt a three-game slide (0-1-2-0) that includes a 4-2 loss last night in Laval. Previous History: Belleville and Hartford only see each other a couple of times a season, with tonight’s meeting being the first of two in 2025-26 and the 15th all-time between the two clubs. Belleville has a 9-4-1-0 lifetime record against the Wolf Pack, which includes a 4-3-0-0 mark at home, after splitting their two-game series last year. Wyatt Bongiovanni and Hayden Hodgson each had a goal and an assist for Belleville against Hartford last year. The Sens and Wolf Pack won’t meet again after tonight until Belleville travels out to Connecticut in late Ferbuary. Roster Notes: The Sens got a significant boost up front last night as forward Jan Jenik returned to the lineup after missing the first nine games of the season. Jenik had been hurt prior to Belleville’s season opener, with his energy and shot blocking prowess immediately noticeable in his return last night. Head Coach Dave Bell also updated the injury status of goaltender Mads Sogaard, forward Jamieson Rees and rookie defenceman Matt Andonovski yesterday. Bell says Rees is close to returning, while the timelines for Sogaard and Andonovski are a little bit longer. Full lineup details will be available via the Sens social media channels (@BellevilleSens) about half an hour ahead of puck drop. Who to Watch: Point streaks for Stephen Halliday and Xavier Bourgault both ended in Utica last night, but the Senators got a solid effort out of a couple of their other forwards. Tyler Boucher played had a physical game that included two shots on net, while Wyatt Bongiovanni registered four shots and Oskar Pettersson had three attempts on goal. Despite not having a point last night, Stephen Halliday is still among the league leaders in Assists, while Bourgault’s pair of shorthanded goals top the AHL as well. Hartford has been led offensively by rookie forward Gabe Perreault (10 points in nine games), though the 20-year-old, 23rd overall pick to the New York Rangers in 2023 is out day-to-day with a minor injury. Sophomore forward Bryce McConnell-Barker is next in line with six points in 10 games, followed by Trey Fix-Wolansky, who has five points in 10 games with the Wolf Pack, after moving to the New York/Hartford system following a lengthy stint with the Columbus/Cleveland organization to start his pro career.
