Summer Skate 2025: Daoust ready to prove himself on new AHL deal

July 17, 2025

The Belleville Senators 2025-26 roster is starting to take shape, with the Ottawa Senators announcing a handful of two-way National Hockey League contracts last week, and new Belleville Sens general manager Matt Turek also locking down some familiar faces on fresh American Hockey League deals.

With that in mind, the Belleville Sens Entertainment Network is catching up with newly signed players, who are either slated to be in the Friendly City all season, or could be back and forth between the Quinte Region and Ottawa.

We continue our chats this week with forward Phil Daoust, who signed a one-year, one-way AHL contract last week and jumped on a call with the BSEN’s David Foot, from his home in Barrie, Ontario.

The 2025-26 American Hockey League schedule is expected to be announced soon, but until then, you can get the latest roster updates via the Belleville Sens Offseason Player Tracker, or get more info on schedule, tickets, and more at bellevillesens.com
