Weekly Recap: May 6, 2024 – May 12, 2024

May 14, 2024

The Belleville Senators 2023-24 season has unfortunately come to an end after a valiant four-game series with the Cleveland Monsters, in Ohio last week. Despite winning the first game of their best-of-five set on home ice at the start of the Month, the Senators were stifled by the North’s top regular season team, dropping another overtime defeat in Game 3, followed by another tight loss in Game 4. Here’s a recap of the action from last week, as we prepare to shift focus to the 2024 offseason.

Wednesday May 8, 2024: Belleville Senators – 2 vs Cleveland Monsters – 3 (OT) (North Division Semi-Finals – Game 3)

Game three of the North Division Semi-Final has come and gone, and similar to the first two games of the series, we saw a little bit of everything. ‘The Land’ was hostile for the B-Sens entering game three. A crowd of over 14,000 fans was in attendance, and Belleville felt the pressure early, but was able to bounce back throughout the night, but not being able to edge in front. Josh Currie and Donovan Sebrango scored for Belleville, while Mads Sogaard made 41 saves in the defeat.
