Here’s a look back at the B-Sens season-opening trip to western and upstate New York, which saw them spoil Rochester’s home opener with a victory, before grinding out a point in a shootout defeat in Syracuse. Friday, October 11, 2024: Belleville Senators – 3 @ Rochester Americans -2 The Belleville Senators kicked off the new season in a big way, picking up a 3-2 victory over the division-rival Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena. Cole Reinhardt and Xavier Bourgault each had two-point nights (one goal, one assist), while Phil Daoust scored the game-winner and Leevi Merilainen stopped 22/24 shots to earn his first win of the season. GAME RECAP | BOX SCORE Saturday, October 12, 2024: Belleville Senators – 1 @ Syracuse Crunch – 2 (SO) As it was expected to be, the Belleville Senators ended up in a hard-hitting, tight-checking affair in their second game of the season, skating to a 2-1 shootout loss against the Crunch, in Syracuse, New York. Jan Jenik scored Belleville’s only goal in regulation time, with Mads Sogaard stopping 28/29 shots in regulation time and 2/3 shooters in the shootout.
